This house is built on a corner lot in a newly developed residential area, a little way from the riverbed of Mukogawa River in Nishinomiya City. The site is unique with roads running north and south, so we took advantage of this and created an external space on the first floor that runs through the building from north to south, connecting each road with space. The plan is designed to allow cars to enter and exit from either road, and it is possible to park two cars on the south side and one on the north side. For this reason, the corner pillars have been removed, the corners of the walls have been rounded, and the space is made as easy to enter and exit as possible. When you go up to the second floor, you will find an integrated space that is almost a one-room type, including a large terrace, which reflects the shape of the site as it is. When viewed from the side of the building, the form derived from its function looks like bikini at first glance, but we hope that it will continue to exist in this town as a universal form.
