既存の鉄筋コンクリート造3階建ての建物の内部を全てスケルトンにし、元の産婦人科を、産婦人科の新築移転に伴い、旧建物を小児科へとコンバージョンしている。ここでも昨年竣工した産婦人科と同様の空間コンセプトに基づき、従来の小児科にありがちなメルヘンチックなイメージを無くし、落ち着きのある空間を目指した。小児科では、感染待合と一般待合の区分けによる、全体的な動線計画がゾーニングの上で、重要な要素となる。それらの各種ゾーニングを整理した上で、２階には多目的に使えるセミナールームを設けた。ここは、元々手術室や、病室などがあった場所だが、構造的な壁を取れる範囲で撤去し、出来るだけ大きな空間を確保している。これにより、産婦人科、小児科、セミナールームによる総合的な医療サービスが可能となっている。

The interior of the existing three-story reinforced concrete building has been stripped to its bare bones, and the old building has been converted into a pediatrics department, with the obstetrics and gynecology department relocating to a new building. Based on the same spatial concept as the obstetrics and gynecology department completed last year, the aim was to eliminate the fairy-tale image that is common in traditional pediatrics departments and create a calm space. In the pediatrics department, the overall traffic flow plan, which divides the waiting area into infection waiting and general waiting, is an important element in terms of zoning. After sorting out these various zonings, a multi-purpose seminar room was set up on the second floor. This was originally the location of operating rooms and patient rooms, but structural walls were removed as much as possible to ensure as much space as possible. This makes it possible to provide comprehensive medical services with the obstetrics and gynecology department, pediatrics department, and seminar room.
