T-Square Design Associates

京都府京丹後市久美浜町の海沿いにある泊まれるレストランSEGの２階客室フロアの全面リノベーションである。元々の客室にはトイレや洗面等のサニタリー機能が無く、共同で使用する洗面やトイレがフロアの片隅にあるのみで、それらの機能を追加刷新することと、客室を増やすこと等がクライアントからの要望であった。それらの要望に応えるには、一旦2階全てをスケルトンにする必要があり、そのため、内装も全て見直した。以前の昔懐かしい雰囲気から少しモダンなテイストに変更し、冬のカニ目的のお客様から、夏のジェットスキーのお客様まで、幅広い客層に対応出来るようにしている。ここで特筆すべきは、内装を安価に抑え、家具やカーテンに至るまでニトリやIKEAで揃えたことであろう。「お値段以上」の空間を是非体験下さい！(笑)

This is a renovation of the second floor guest rooms of SEG, a seaside lodging restaurant in Kumihama-cho, Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture. The original guest rooms did not have sanitary facilities such as toilets or washbasins, with only a shared washbasin and toilet located in one corner of the floor, and the client requested that these functions be added and updated, as well as that the number of guest rooms be increased. In order to meet these requests, it was necessary to first strip the entire second floor to a bare minimum, and as such, the interior design was completely overhauled. The previous nostalgic atmosphere has been changed to a slightly more modern style, making it suitable for a wide range of customers, from those who come to enjoy crabs in the winter to those who come for jet skiing in the summer. What is particularly noteworthy here is that the interior design was kept inexpensive, with even the furniture and curtains sourced from Nitori and IKEA. Come experience a space that is "worth more than its price."
