T-Square Design Associates

川西市内にある20年ほど前に分譲された分譲地の一角に分譲当時から空地のまま、放置された一画が残っていた。敷地南側には土地の前オーナーが植えたヤマモモの木が一本だけ生えており、初めて敷地を見に行った時には、綺麗なピンクの花が無数に咲いていた。そのため、この住宅を計画するに当たり、このヤマモモの木を残すという事と、家のどこに居ても、この木が見えるように計画を進めることにした。計画地は郊外に多く見られる成型の分譲地で、四角い敷地に四角い住宅が建ち並ぶが、そのため、折角南に面していても、1階に自然光が入っている住宅は少ない。そこで、東西に細長い建物とし、出来るだけ北側に配置し、敷地南側を空けることで、木を残し、更に南側からの自然光を可能な限り室内に取り入れる事を意識しながら、設計を進めた住宅である。

In a corner of a subdivision in Kawanishi City that was sold about 20 years ago, there was a section that had been left vacant since the time of the sale. On the south side of the site, there was a single Japanese yamamomo tree planted by the previous owner of the land, and when we visisted the site for the first time, it was covered with countless beautiful pink flowers. Therefore, when planning this house, we decided to leave the Japanese yamamomo tree and proceed with the plan so that the tree would be visible from anywhere in the house. The planned site is a molded subdivision that is often seen in the suburbs, with square houses built on square sites, and as a result, there are few houses that have natural light on the first floor, even though they face south. So, we designed this house with the intention of leaving the tree and bringing as much natural light from the south into the room as possible by making the building long and narrow from east to west and locating it as far north as possible, leaving the south side of the site open.
